Feeling overwhelmed is expected in these unpredictable times. We all understand that there are things we should do to keep ourselves healthy, and to improve the health of the planet. But, the more we read, the more hopeless and helpless we feel. There is so much we should be doing--eating differently, living differently, exercising more. When we read one recommendation, it cascades to another 10 things that should be implemented. We cannot possibly do EVERYTHING that we should do. So, most of us give up on doing good because we can't be perfect. And the more we learn, the more overwhelming it becomes.
So, how about starting off with three simple things that will significantly impact your health and the health of the planet, without dramatically changing your lifestyle. There are so many simple things you can do to begin changing your health, and improving the health of your community and earth. We don't have to be perfect. The world will be so much better if we have a society of imperfect people doing small things to make a difference. That is what this series is about. Once you start doing small things, you will want to do more. Just imagine your overall health improving by making changes you don't even notice. What the heck...it can't hurt.
YES! I love this message! It is so easy to fall into the paradox of choice. Seemingly endless ways to improve, things to change, etc., it's easier to ignore and continue the same routine you've done. However, sticking to 3 small things and consciously creating your life, without the need to feel perfect, is what creates lasting change. We are in this for the long run! Not just for a day.
